Members of Amazon Prime have access to Prime Video as part of their subscription. HBO Max

Hulu is unique in that it releases new episodes of some of the most popular shows around a day or two after they air on TV. On Netflix, however, you usually have to wait longer to start watching an entire season of a certain show.
You can subscribe to Hulu for just $6.99 per month, but ads are included. In addition to the ad-free plan, you can also get it for $12.99 a month. Additionally, Hulu offers add-ons including Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, and HBO, and a Live TV plan starting at $69.99 per month with ABC, FOX, CNN, etc. Only in the US and Japan does Hulu offer an alternative to Netflix. The service isn’t available in other countries like Netflix.
Crackle
Among the best Netflix alternatives, Crackle is the most cost-effective. Aside from cult classics and critically acclaimed Hollywood films, the site also offers a wide range of popular TV shows and movies. About 150 feature-length movies and 75 shows are available on the platform.
One of the biggest drawbacks of the service is that it is ad-supported. Before your movie or show begins, you’ll have to sit through a 30-second commercial, followed by three more ads for shows, and nine for movies over an hour and a half.
Paramount Plus
Previously known as CBS All Access, Paramount Plus combines a variety of content from ViacomCBS’s parent company. Paramount Pictures offers a wide variety of classic and current movies, as well as TV shows from CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and BET.

Acorn TV
The Acorn TV channel offers classic and current shows from Britain, Ireland, Australia, and other countries. There are plenty of popular TV shows to choose from, including Inspector George Gently, Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders, and many more. Despite their unfamiliarity, these shows are well worth watching. In addition to a few movies, there isn’t a large selection available.
Only the US and Canada can get Acorn TV, which isn’t as widely available as Netflix. There is no advertising included and the cost is $5.99 per month in the states. As opposed to Netflix, you cannot download content to watch offline. This is the biggest drawback of the service.
